Paris Saint German and Brazil are set to go to war over a conspiracy theory about Neymar’s injury.
French newspaper L’Equipe have pointed out that the national team doctor Rodrigo Lasmer may have exaggerated the damage to the attacker’s foot.
The plot is apparently to make sure Neymar is ready for the World Cup by over-egging the reading of the injury and making him rest for longer than necessary.
PSG originally announced their prized possession had fissure the fifth metatarsal in his right foot, but Lasmer claimed it was fractured – which would mean an additional three months on the sidelines.
The final decision on when the world’s most expensive player can train again will come in six weeks.
The French giants are 14 points clear at the top of Ligue 1 but are desperate to have Neymar available for their Champions League challenge – they face Real Madrid in the second leg of their last-16 clash this week.
