Ghanaian artist, Black Sherif drops an EP titled “Take Care of Yourself Blacko” and off the mini project are the new tracks, ‘Yaya‘ & ‘Simmer Down‘. Mohammed Sharrif Ismail popularly known as Black Sherif or Blacko is regarded as one of the most influential artists from Ghana. His nomadic lifestyle exposed him to multiple influences and different cultures at a very early age.
Black Sherif’s career ascent began following the release of his groundbreaking single; “First Sermon”, in 2021. The drill sounding record captured the soul and hustle of every street in his home country, Ghana. An experimental freestyle which was assisted by a Highlife/Drill fusion inspired beat from Ghanaian producer, Stallion and later got Burna Boy signature and became a global record.
Blacko writes some of listener’s deepest thoughts and personal trials, the new track titled ‘Simmer Down’ is a song for anyone who is being misunderstood by friends and family but still striving on his/her own regardless bcos only you can see where you want to be and who you are.
